Interreg Flanders-Netherlands launches fourth call

Interreg Flanders-Netherlands is a European program through which cross-border cooperation is stimulated from the European Regional Development Fund (EFRO). The program partners the Netherlands (Ministry of Economic Affairs), Flanders (Innovation and Enterprise Agency) and the provinces of Limburg (NL), Noord-Brabant, Zeeland, Limburg (BE), Antwerp, Flemish Brabant, East Flanders and West Flanders have launched the fourth call for projects in the sixth Interreg Flanders-Netherlands program.

Who can apply?

  • Partnerships involving at least one Flemish and one Dutch partner (Dutch partners must be located in Zeeland, Noord-Brabant, or Zuid-Limburg).
  • Active involvement of SMEs is highly encouraged.
  • Up to 50% of eligible project costs can be financed through ERDF, with no minimum or maximum budget per project.
  • Duration is 3 years.

Budget per theme

Through this fourth call for projects, the program wishes to allocate €38.5 million. In principle, the following budget is foreseen per theme:

  1. A Smarter Europe (SDs A1 and A2): € 9.5 million ERDF
  2. A Greener Europe (SDs B1 to B6): €12.5 million ERDF
  3. A more social Europe:
    1. labor market (SDs C1 and C2): € 6 million ERDF
    2. sustainable tourism (SD C3): €7.5 million ERDF
  4. A Europe without borders (SD D1): € 3 million ERDF

  • Polymer recycling
  • Carbon capture and utilization (CCU)
  • Biobased economy
  • Sustainable chemicals
  • Projects within Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 4-8.

Timeline

  • Pre-application Deadline: March 6, 2025, at 17:00.
  • Preselection Decision: June 18, 2025.
  • Full Application Deadline: October 10, 2025.
  • Final Decision: January 28, 2026.
