Catalisti members are highly satisfied with the cluster’s services and support
This is one of the key outcomes of the member satisfaction survey conducted in November and December 2025 as part of the Innovation Roadmap Questionnaire. In total 60 members participated, representing more than one third of the Catalisti network.
The results show that members clearly value Catalisti as a trusted innovation partner, with particularly high scores for overall satisfaction and likelihood to recommend Catalisti to others. At the same time, the survey provides valuable insights into how we can further improve and develop Catalisti’s membership services.
Customer Satisfaction Score
Reflects the percentage of respondents who rated their overall satisfaction with Catalisti membership services positively (scores 5, 6 or 7 on a 7-point scale).
Net Promoter Score
Indicates how likely members are to recommend Catalisti to others, based on a 0-10 scale. Respondents are grouped into Promoters (9-10), Passives (7-8), and Detractors (0-6).The NPS is calculated as the percentage of Promoters minus the percentage of Detractors. An NPS of 43 is considered ‘great’.
Overall satisfaction among members is high, indicating that Catalisti’s activities and services are well aligned with member expectations. This strong appreciation is reflected in a Customer Satisfaction Score (CSAT) of 93%. Catalisti also achieved a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 43, driven by a high share of promoters – respondents who indicated a high likelihood of recommending Catalisti to others. Together, these results confirm Catalisti’s role as a valued innovation partner and provide clear guidance for further strengthening its service offering.
Visibility and member engagement
Catalisti is perceived as a visible and well-positioned actor within the Flemish chemistry and plastics ecosystem. More than half of respondents (52%) rated Catalisti’s visibility at the highest levels (6 or 7 on a seven-point scale). The perceived level of involvement in the network is slightly lower, with 43% of members rating their involvement at the highest levels. GUIDE members reported the strongest sense of involvement, followed by ENGAGE and INNOVATE members, while CONNECT members reported the lowest level. Despite this lower ranking, CONNECT members still rated their involvement at an average of 4,5 out of 7.
This pattern is consistent with our tiered membership model, where INNOVATE and ENGAGE members benefit from a wider range of services and interaction opportunities than CONNECT members. Discover all our member benefits here.
Most valued membership benefits
When looking at the most valued membership benefits, industrial members particularly appreciate the networking opportunities offered by Catalisti, the dedicated account manager available to INNOVATE and ENGAGE members, and the one-on-one connections facilitated through the cluster.
Knowledge institutes also highly value our networking events and the annual meeting with a dedicated Catalisti broker offered to GUIDE members. Furthermore, they appreciate the information exchange during the Extended Team Meetings.
Both groups also highlighted opportunities for improvement. More specifically, members expressed a desire for increased communication on sector-wide trends, policy developments, relevant calls, and funding opportunities.
Support in innovation projects
The survey also underscores Catalisti’s strong role in supporting innovation projects. Companies are slightly more satisfied with Catalisti's support in innovation projects than knowledge institutes, which aligns with our cluster’s industry-driven focus on supporting companies in the development and submission of innovation projects. Members particularly value Catalisti's role in navigating the funding landscape.
At the same time, respondents pointed to several opportunities to strengthen Catalisti’s services even further. Members identified a need for faster identification of suitable project partners, broader communication of ongoing projects to a wider audience (e.g. through videos, events, or articles), and more guidance during the development of project proposals.
Looking ahead
Overall, the survey results confirm that Catalisti is widely recognised as a trusted cluster organisation that creates real value for its members. At the same time, the feedback collected through the questionnaire provides a clear starting point for further improvement.
Catalisti does not intend to rest on its achievements, but it will actively use these insights to further strengthen its service offering, refine its innovation activities, and provide more targeted support to its members. In this way, Catalisti seeks to further strengthen member engagement and expand its impact within the Flemish chemistry and plastics innovation ecosystem. The insights from the survey will also play an important role in shaping the renewed Catalisti innovation roadmap for the years ahead, ensuring that future activities remain closely aligned with member needs and ambitions.
