Catalisti Connect event highlighted avenues for innovation with AI
Yesterday we held our networking event Catalisti Connect and zoomed in on the topic of AI & Innovation. After an introduction by president Peter Roose and a Catalisti update by managing director Tine Schaerlaekens, a keynote presentation was given by professor Vincent Ginis (VUB).
We would like to thank our keynote speaker, Professor Vincent Ginis, who gave us a behind-the-scenes look at the scientific debates surrounding artificial intelligence. It was particularly stimulating to learn about the ways in which artificial generative intelligence tools can and will be used for innovation. The keynote sparked lively discussion at the reception afterwards. Thank you Professor Ginis.
The keynote was preceded by a welcome from our President, Peter Roose, who spoke about 'The Big Challenge' for the chemical industry today: managing a sustainable transformation of the industry while remaining competitive. Managing Director Tine Schaerlaekens then spoke about the importance of collaboration in open innovation projects. Catalisti is ready to support more ambitious innovation projects from its members and to help create new collaborations. Our director highlighted the two themes for 2024 at Catalisti, which go hand in hand: stronger strategic communication initiatives on the one hand, and a greater focus on valorisation and impact on the other.
Finally, to all participants, your participation was the highlight. Thank you for engaging, asking questions and connecting with each other. We're excited by the ideas that came out of Catalisti Connect and can't wait to see where the momentum takes us next.
