The FPS Public Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment has announced the upcoming launch of a new call for projects: 'Circular by Design 2026'. This call provides support for innovative, practice-oriented ecodesign projects and will officially open on July 17, 2026.

Circular by design

Through the Circular by Design 2026 call, the FPS Public Health aims to further facilitate the circular transition. The primary focus is on supporting concrete, industry-driven initiatives that possess the potential for broader replication across the sector upon project completion.

European Priorities and Target Sectors The call aligns with European priorities regarding ecodesign and circularity. Specific objectives include accelerating the transition to circular business models, enhancing product durability and repairability, and systematically reducing reliance on critical raw materials.

With this call, the FPS Public Health specifically targets the construction, textile, electrical and electronic equipment, and packaging sectors. This final category is particularly relevant to the plastics innovation ecosystem within the Catalisti network.
