Join us at the final event of the map-it CCU project to explore how CCUS is not just a technology of the future, but how it can drive a cleaner, more resilient and future-ready economy, starting today.

Map-it CCU final event

Why join this event?

The path to a sustainable future brings both challenges and exciting opportunities. One of the most promising enablers in this transition is Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS).

Despite some common misconceptions, e.g. regarding cost, safety, and its compatibility with renewables, CCUS can be effective, safe, and is essential for achieving net-zero goals.

At this event, we aim to cut through the noise and provide clear, fact-based insights into the true potential of CCUS. From reducing emissions in existing infrastructure to enabling deep decarbonization in hard-to-abate sectors, and even supporting CO₂ removal from the atmosphere - CCUS is a vital tool for climate action.

Through direct exchange with established industry leaders and technology experts, SMEs will have the chance to learn from larger, more experienced players and understand how to adopt and apply CCUS solutions at their own scale.

Policymakers will also join us offering a unique opportunity to align regulatory frameworks with technological realities. This dialogue will help ensure that supportive policies are in place to accelerate CCUS adoption by reducing barriers and create a fertile environment for innovations across all sectors.

Join us at the final event of the map-it CCU project to explore how CCUS is not just a technology of the future, but how it can drive a cleaner, more resilient and future-ready economy, starting today.

About Map-it CCU

The Map-it CCU project is a VLAIO intercluster COOCK project, supported by the innovation clusters Catalisti and FLUX50. The project was based on current and future needs of Flemish companies: They require access to a structured overview and selection of feasible cleantech technologies and value chains for their sustainability roadmaps and pursuit of becoming CO2 neutral.
