Enzymares: Closing event
Ostend , Belgium
We are delighted to invite you to the closing event of the Enzymares project, a groundbreaking initiative that has been driving innovation in enzyme discovery since 2021. Over the past four years, Enzymares has developed an advanced enzyme prediction toolbox, accelerating the discovery and application of sustainable bio-catalysts to revolutionize industrial processes, with a particular focus on marine resources as a rich source of innovation.
Supported by Catalisti, De Blauwe Cluster and Flanders’ FOOD, and coordinated by Ghent University, the project has brought together strong research partners including Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant, KU Leuven, VIB and VITO.Â
Join us on 25th March 2025 as we demonstrate the achievements of Enzymares and look forward to the opportunities the innovative toolbox will create for industrial applications. The event will feature the story of Enzymares, business cases and valorization opportunities. We will also organize workshops on the use of the toolbox and discuss several possible applications.
About Enzymares
The intercluster project Enzymares, supported by Catalisti, The Blue Cluster and Flanders’ FOOD, developed an enzyme prediction toolbox to speed up enzyme discovery and reduce the time-to-market for new enzymes. The innovative toolbox contributes to the success of enzymes such as sustainable bio-catalysts and thus supports companies in making their processes and products more sustainable. Our focus lies on mining marine resources, as marine environments provide a vast and largely untapped reservoir for enzyme exploration.
