Call for Abstracts

Submit your abstract to become one of the selected 99 technology pitches that will shape our 2025 program. The Call for Abstracts will open on 1 June 2025 and close 3 November 2025 at midnight.

How to apply for a pitch slot?

Pitch applications can be done online via the form at the bottom of this page. Upon application, be prepared to share the following information:

• Which session would you like to apply for? You can consult the session topics here or in the program. The pitch sessions for which you can register are:

  • Start-ups/SMEs looking for finance – pre-seed/angel/seed funding. Please note that, after careful consultation with our investors, we recommend C-level representation for a “looking for finance” pitch.

  • Start-ups/SMEs looking for finance – series A and series B/C funding. Please note that, after careful consultation with our investors, we recommend C-level representation for a “looking for finance” pitch.

  • Microbial protein & microbial oils transition players, session supported by The ProteInn Club.

  • Leading pilot facilities for the bioeconomy, session supported by “Pilots4U powered by COPILOT“.

  • Emerging innovative technologies: novel fermentation and novel downstream processing innovations. This pitch session is reserved for companies developing bioprocesses using novel fermentation and/or downstream processing technologies or developing novel fermentation and/or downstream processing technologies as such. One could think of e.g. continuous fermentation, in situ product recovery, artificial intelligence or machine learning for bioprocessing application, novel reactor design, novel DSP methods …

  • Emerging innovative technologies: alternative and unconventional feedstocks. This pitch session is reserved for companies developing bioprocesses using alternative and unconventional feedstocks such as e.g. plastic waste, food waste, agricultural waste, industrial waste gasses …

• Title of your pitch (will appear on the program)

• Speaker: name + affiliation (will appear on the program). We recommend C-level representation for pitches in the “Looking for finance” sessions.

• Keywords summarizing the content of your pitch (will appear on the program):

  • feedstock keywords – max 2* (which feedstock is your technology using?)

  • end-product keyword – max 2* (which end-product is your technology producing?)

  • keyword related to your technology – max 2*

• Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of your technology

• Paragraph of max. 1500 characters (including spaces) summarizing your technology (for pitch selection only, will not appear on the program or website)

• In case you are looking for finance: what type of finance are you looking for?

* In case more keywords are entered in the online form, the organiser will select the 2 keywords that will appear on the program.
